The hottest new mtm Audi S3 up to 330 HP!

The hottest new mtm Audi S3 up to 330 HP!

Motoren Technik Mayer GmbH from Wettstetten, Germany, laid their hands on the new referee within the sport compact car arena. The Audi S3 creates great competition within its own corporation to Golf GTI and R32 as well the bavarian colleagues BMW with the mighty 130i. Through the mtm-provided components for motor, breaks, exhaust system and suspension, they have distanced themselves even more from their competitors raising the S3 to an uncompromising racer!

The hottest new mtm Audi S3 up to 330 HP!

Power between 310 & 330 HP and torque of 400 to 420 Nm
    Vmax up to 264 km/h, acceleration 0-100 in 5,1s
stainless steel exhaust system with metallic catalytic converter,
    double-flow resonator
variety of brake systems for the best deceleration
    sport springs or coilover suspension
    Better performance and higher torque

The hottest new mtm Audi S3 up to 330 HP!

The TFSI-motor borrowed from parent company VW, is really ideal for tuning revisions. Directly off the assembly line, the turbo engine of Audi S3 already has an impressive 265 HP. One would imagine this alone is enough. Yet, just experiencing the difference proves a visit to mtm is really worth while. In its first stage, mtm replaces the motor electronics. This procedure alone upgrades power to 310 HP/228 kW as well as torque to 400 Nm (Series: 350 Nm). Whoever selects a mtm resonator and the mtm rear silencer receives an additional 5 HP and 5 Nm. The hottest version receives even more components from mtm to boot. With the mtm front silencer and a front pipe with metallic catalysatic converter, performance increases to a powerful 330 HP and torque of 420 Nm. With this addition, in just 5,1 seconds 0 to 100 km/h is reached and a maximum speed up to 264 km/h obtainable.
Naturally, mtm ensures durability for all its parts. Customers benefit from the extensive experience mtm has gathered for example from the TT bimoto®.

As can be expected, all parts described above for the exhaust system are available seperately for the Audi S3 2.0 TFSI. Either the rear silencer with exhaust flap control alone or together with the complete catalytic converter system. Both tail pipes, each with a diameter of 80 mm, look far more impressive than the series-produced parts. From each excapes a sound that one generally only experiences on the race track.

    “Races are won on brakes”

Implimenting power upgrades alone, with complete disregard for adequate deceleration, would be operating completely irresponsibly. For this reason, mtm offers cars of all classes specifically designed brake systems.

In the case of the S3, mtm improves deceleration on the front axle in three upgrades. For the first upgrade, mtm provides the S3 with 8-piston-fixed calipers and 330×32 mm diameter sized semi-perforated brake discs. Even more impressive is the next higher upgrade of completely perforated brake discs with diameter dimension of 356×34mm. They must sustain pressure from 8-piston-brake calipers. Last mentioned, mtm also uses within the largest of the three brake systems. Here the semi-perforated brake discs measure 380×34 mm in diameter and when they are gripped by the calipers, the driver has the feeling of grabbing an anchor. The saying “races are won on brakes” is not to be taken lightly. The racetrack beckons! Every package contains both the steel flex brake lines as well as additional parts. The semi-perforated brake discs are, by the way, a custom-made product from mtm. A unique element for the these discs is the semi-perforations as they do not go through the disc completely. They show optics and characteristics of a completely perforated-through disc, but avoid the normally found crack formations followed by extended use.

Clearly, the standard equipped S3 is an outstanding vehicle. However, those who prefer no comprimises will choose from the mtm price-list a coilover suspension which provides lowering the S3 between 35 and 65mm. Its set-up can be regulated by adjustment of the compression and rebound of the damper. Alternatively, mtm offers shorter sport springs that lower the S3 by 45 mm. For better road holding ability, mtm furnishes spacers for track widening of 20 mm per axle.

In regards to wheels, mtm comes up with its own creation “bimoto”. These spectacular features come in finishes of “shiny silver”, “titanium” and “diamond cut”. mtm offers the “bimoto”-wheels for the S3 in the size 8,5×19″ ET50. Additionally available is a wheel set with tyres in the dimensions 235/35ZR19.

The general rule at mtm is “special wishes will be granted”. Modifications can be made on an individual basis!

     Audi Q7 V12 TDI Concept

An output of 500 bhp and 738 ft.-lbs. of torque – Audi is unveiling an engine which sets new standards in the diesel sector. The majestic V12 TDI power unit with its capacity of six litres endows the high-performance Audi Q7 SUV with sports car credentials. It is the harbinger of a wide-scale model initiative, as Audi seeks to make major inroads into the US market with its diesel models – courtesy of a new emission control technology which cuts emissions drastically.

    Audi Q7 V12 TDI Concept

The Audi Q7 V12 TDI raises the bar in the burgeoning sports utility vehicle segment. A time of just 5.5 seconds for the dash from zero to 100 km/h and an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h give the high-performance SUV sports car calibre. Its six-litre twelve-cylinder diesel unit demonstrates the tremendous technological expertise at Audi’s fingertips. 18 years after the Ingolstadt brand invented the modern-day TDI engine, it is presenting it in an all-new high-tech, range-topping guise.

    Audi makes the vital breakthroughs

All of the diesel engines from Audi deserve the tag of ’sporty’ on account of their impressive performance – the six and eight-cylinder 2.7 TDI, 3.0 TDI and 4.2 TDI units serve to underline this. The pioneering role that Audi assumes in the field of diesel technology stems from the peerless expertise it has amassed over recent decades. Audi engineers have been responsible for one vital breakthrough after another – the most important of these was the world’s first ever TDI engine to be fitted in a passenger car, which Audi introduced in 1989.

Last year, Audi demonstrated the dynamic potential of diesel power in most memorable fashion on race tracks around the world. The V12 TDI in the R10 sports prototype unleashed in excess of 650 bhp and left its petrol-engined competitors in its wake in each of the eight races it competed in. Highlights of this winning streak included its triumph at the gruelling Le Mans 24 Hours as well as its victories in the LMP1 category of the American Le Mans Series.

The trend towards diesel engines is gathering strength all the time in the United States too. Audi is firmly convinced that the TDI engine represents the powerful and economical alternative for the future of motoring, and is therefore preparing a model drive to bolster this trend. The Q7 3.0 TDI is expected to hit showrooms in the USA in late 2008. Thanks to the exceptionally low emissions resulting from its cutting-edge Bluetec technology, this engine even complies with the US Tier II Bin 5 standard which places extremely tough demands on nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions.

SCR catalytic converter for reducing nitrogen oxide levels

At the core of the Bluetec technology is a catalytic converter known by the abbreviation of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). The second system component takes the form of an auxiliary tank which contains a carbonyl diamide solution. The solution is injected in small doses into the exhaust system where it decomposes into ammonia, which then breaks down the nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water. The arrival of the ultra-clean Bluetec diesel engines will see Audi hold true to its tradition of always being at the very forefront of diesel technology.

LSD wing doors now for Audi TT Type 8J

For the high achiever of the coupe segment from Ingolstadt, Germany, LSD now offers also its spectacular wing door hinges. With few time and effort the Audi TT Type 8J becomes a startling show car.

Security proved by side-crash test /with German TUV parts certificate
    Car-specific solution made in Germany
To be mounted directly at the points of the original doors
Meanwhile tuners lay their hands also on normal family station wagons like the Audi TT Type 8J and prove, that this cars have talent to be attractive show cars as well. Now owners of such a car can make the LSD wing doors being the icing on the cake of their tuning.

LSD door fittings come with a German TUV certificate certifying that the LSD wing doors meet all safety standards.

Compared to other retrofit sets for wing doors, the LSD fittings made in Germany are more impressive due to their absolutely sound engineering and the highest-possible standard of quality. In addition, a testing laboratory accredited by the German Kraftfahrtbundesamt (Federal motoring bureau) proved in a side-crash test, that the LSD-solution patented in Germany is as secure as a door assembled in the series production. This means: the occupants safety is guarateed by the LSD door fittings in a side-crash complying with rule 96/27/EG. LSD makes a quick and easy installation possible, without any welding or repainting necessary. Another convincing feature is their perfect fit, thanks to the ability to make three-dimensional adjustments. The LSD door fittings are mounted directly at the points where the original doors were removed. With the added fittings, the otherwise unchanged doors open first outward and then gently glide upward and stop. Adjustable buffers prevent the doors from being opened too wide or from falling downward or inward when open. A simple grip is all it takes to close the door. On the one hand, the LSD solution allows you to open the door in a outward motion with an aperture angle of approx. 30°; on the other hand, it also allows you to swing the wing door upward, and all that without any great exertion. The LSD wing doors lend any car a sensational look and are the ideal solution for all fans of unusual tuning and show cars. The LSD door fittings are available from LSD or special dealers.
